Parsley Herb Plant Varieties

Petroselinum

This has got to be that one herb that everyone wants all of the time. A hardy biennial, it does need replacing to ensure a consistent crop but thrives in a damp, slightly shaded site and benefits from a good feed. It’s difficult to decide which is the more popular - the curled variety is a timeless favourite but many prefer the Flat Leaved or French variety; meant to have a stronger flavour and favoured by the TV chefs, I remain unconvinced!

And just to make it a little more confusing we have the Italian variety with even bigger flat leaves and Hamburg that is cultivated for its roots.
