Sold as a small herb in a 9cm pot with a single stem to allow for shaping as it grows, if required.
 
A hardy evergreen shrub with small yellow flowers. This will grow into a small tree if unrestricted but can be pruned as a standard or pyramid and makes an attractive patio tub plant.
The leaves are used in all forms of cooking for flavouring and are best when picked fresh although it's possible to dry or freeze them.
Plant in full sun or partial shade in the garden or in a pot.
