With close set, toothed, bright green leaves and an excellent scent, this is a very popular culinary herb. Said to be the best mint for tea, it can also be used on new potatoes and peas and to make mint sauce. Suitable in a moist, well drained site, in full sun or partial shade, it also produces lavender coloured flowers in the late Summer and early Autumn.
