Thyme Creeping Red
Thymus coccineus
Perennial
Ht up to 10cm
A very popular Thyme because of the colour of its flowers throughout Summer. This is a creeping, woody base hardy perennial with scented dark green leaves dark purple/red flowers. Another good Thyme for planting in gravel or paving cracks, make sure it's in free draining soil and a sunny or partially shaded position. Can be used in cooking with fish, meats, salads and barbecued food.

Following a recommend I rang Pepperpot’ who answered all my questions after which I placed an order online for Creeping Thyme and Wine & Roses Thyme which was processed immediately. I was kept fully informed of delivery including an update to inform that due to extreme weather there would be a slight delay to ensure the plants arrived in good shape. In less than a week the plants arrived, carefully packed and in excellent condition. Congratulations,a 5* service!
The plants were sent in very good condition, ready to plant out. Good packaging protected them well and they were very healthy plants.
I bought two plants both have transferred well and are surviving in the heat wave. With in two weeks they look like they are beginning to take and spread. We wanted to use them to edge a boarder and we are very pleased with them.
This thyme is a little show off thyme with very pretty crimson pink flowers and it obliges by making its way into cracks in paving wherever there is room to spread and is never a nuisance
